Design and Features
The Gpen Connect is not new vape type. If you are a concentrate vaper or e-rig user, you may have seen this design before with the Yocan Torch. All those two devices are portable eNail vape devices.
The main body of Gpen Connect has a thin, somewhat cylindrical shape by itself, but the somewhat large rectangular battery pack connects magnetically to the rest of the device. The cover of the ceramic bowl is also magnetic, which is nice and convenient.
The G Pen Connect is a revolutionary alternative to conventional concentrate consumption that heats to temperature within five seconds of activation to deliver high-density, quality vapor production without the hassle of a torch and exposed nail.
As for the Yocan Torch, you’ll see two vertical cylinders. The shorter side is the atomizer, while the taller side is your battery. At the bottom, there is a tiered connector that is designed to fit into any glass water piece.
The Yocan Torch Portable eNail is an attachment for 14mm and 18mm sized water pipes (not included), it makes dabbing safer for anyone whether on-the-go or at home. The Yocan Torch can change any bong into a concentrate vaporizer.
Temperature Control
The G Pen Connect gives you three temperature settings to choose from, which are instead voltage-regulated at 3.1v, 3.6v, and 4.3v. This is fairly standard for budget wax pens, but for a device in this price range, we were hoping to see a little bit better control.
Yocan Torch don’t have temperature control function. But Yocan device have more coil options for choose. The Yocan Torch is a dome-less portable eNail that takes all the danger out of dabbing.
Battery Life
Gpen Conect comes with an 850mAh battery, you get a pretty decent amount of battery to play with before it goes flat. In practice, you can expect between 10-15 sessions on a single charge, which is definitely more than enough for a whole day of use and then some.
And the Yocan Torch battery capacity is 1100mah. The Yocan Torch 2020 version supports 15s continous heat each puff, and fully charged can last 45 puffs. The Yocan Torch vaporizer is a new take on an e-nail for cannabis extracts that allows you to enjoy vapor through your own glass pieces.
How to use
Those two devices are fairly intruitive, but for new vaper, you have to follow the user manual to start it.
How to use Gpen Connect?
Once you’ve selected temperature and your material is ready to go, just inhale smoothly and put the carb cap on top to intensify the vapor production. There is a side carb port to regulate the amount of fresh air coming in, allowing you to tailor the experience slightly.
- Twist the glass adapter on to the bottom of the glass connector of the device.
- Insert the device into the joint of the dab rig.
- Remove the cap from the tank.
- Place your dab into the ceramic bowl and replace the cap.
- Attach the battery to the magnetic connection point.
- Turn on the device by pressing the battery button five times.
- Press the battery button three times to select a voltage level.
- Press the battery button twice to start automatic heating.
- (Optional) Hold down the battery button for fifteen second manual heating.
- Once heating is complete, hold down the carb release button to increase airflow.
- Inhale from the mouthpiece of the dab rig.
How to use Yocan Torch?
Yocan Torch is an E-Nail that was designed to make your dabbing sessions so much easier.
- Make sure your device is charged.
- Attached Yocan Torch on your e-rig device.
- Load the concentrate material and place the cap
- 5 clicking to turn the Yocan Torch on.
- Press the power button, and start heating.
- Inhale and enjoy your vaping life.
- After you session, press the power button again to stop heating.
The Yocan Torch is an easy to use, portable, domeless e-nail that gives you an alternative way to dab, without having to use a blow torch every time.
Performance
Gpen Connect has a good performance. It can produce large clouds of powerful and tasty vapor right out of the box.
The Yocan Torch is a really great enail and it will take your concentrates experience to a whole new level. It’s easy to use once you read the manual and the flavor you get from it is just insane. Vapor is also off the charts and it’s a great thing you get the spare coil.
Yocan is always great about including extra coils, and the Torch comes with 2 Dual Quartz coils. The Yocan Torch 2020 version is added new coil type, the Triple Quartz Coil from Regen. The Yocan Torch Portable eNail is probably one of the best eNails on the market.
Clean and Maintenance
Similar with most concentrate vape device, regularly clean is neccesary.
With that being said, it works just fine and if you keep on top of maintenance and clean it meticulously, you’ll be quite satisfied with it! The flavor is passable and the cloud production is solid. Definitely a great party trick!

Portability
A portable e-rig? Not so fast, you’ll still need a bubbler or at least a j-hook to run it through! Still, it’s an ultra-convenient way to take a pretty full-fledged dab experience with you on the go.
While the device itself is pretty covert and not really conspicuous, taking a hit from a bubbler with it surely will gather a lot of attention if you’re out and about.
Thus, either Yocan Torch or the G Pen Connect is really best suited for at-home use and bringing to a friend’s place, unless you’re comfortable taking hits from a dab rig out in public!
Conclusion
If you want to portable eNail with temperature control, the Gpen Connect is your choice.
